Welcome to the Low Carbon Hub.

The gateway to low carbon growth and innovation in the East Midlands

Independent expert support and advice, in plain English, at no cost.

The Low Carbon Hub is comprised of 3 social businesses running interlocking B2B low carbon support networks across the East Midlands. Our team have more than 100 years combined experience trading in and supporting growth in the low carbon sector. We work in partnership with businesses, support agencies, regulators and major procurers including universities, Local Authorities, NHS organisations and with 100’s of businesses from small local enterprises to large multinational corporations.

Whatever line of work you are in from creative industries to engineering, if you own or represent a business and are looking at tapping into opportunities in the low carbon economy get in touch. We can help with finding funding, clients or marketing opportunities; develop or sell your products for the low carbon market, or just expand your network with other like-minded low carbon businesses. As small businesses ourselves, we have usually accessed these services ourselves, so can interpret the requirements and opportunities for you.

The Low Carbon Hub is supported by BIS, GPF, Growth Hub, D2N2

Our 3 member consortium run numerous events each year and we also promote low carbon sector events of relevance from other providers including the Chamber of Commerce, the regions Universities and private providers. If you know of an event that is not listed let us know and we will add it.

As we work with organisations we try to promote their successes with case studies, over the last year we have worked with over 100 businesses. Here are some of the businesses that have been supported by the low carbon hub and some quotes from companies we have worked with.

We offer first contact and expert advice and guidance as the Low Carbon Hub, using our connections with the regions procurers, major organisations and innovators to help connect businesses with local demand, expertise and potential partnership. We will first help you directly with our expertise then help you navigate the regions funded, academic or expert support. We work on your behalf to independently ensure you get to the right support to grow.

We provide links and access to the regions low carbon plans and strategies, useful statistics and information on the growth of the sector, and feedback on the buying and innovation interests of the region’s major procurers, to help you scope your market and decide how, where and when to promote and sell your products.
